Fritz A. Henn, M.D., Ph.D.
Associate Laboratory Director for Life Sciences
Brookhaven National Laboratory
U.S. Department of Energy

In the post he recently assumed at Brookhaven, Dr. Henn is responsible for overseeing programs of research in advanced imaging techniques; basic genetic, molecular and cellular studies; and biomedical and environmental applications of research. One of his goals is to form partnerships with medical schools so that clinicians and researchers can pool their research utilizing Brookhaven’s advanced equipment. He has already helped to establish

Dr. Henn’s own research interest is in depression and neurodegenerative diseases. Among his previous posts, he was professor and chair of psychiatry and behavioral medicine at Stony Brook University, professor of psychiatry at the University of Heidelberg, and director of the Central Institute of Mental Health, in Mannheim, Germany.
