Celebration of the Arts WordTheatreTM presented "Mysteries of the Mind" an original show created for NARSAD at Twin Oaks Farm in Sagaponack, New York. Actors performed include Katherine Erbe, Julianna Margulies, Rae Dawn Chong, Gary Dourdan and Richard Schiff among others. The event included a Silent Auction of original artwork by Aaron Holliday and a fine wine collection from renowned Staglin Family Vineyards.

16th Annual Michigan NARSAD Golf Classic This event was held at the Gowanie Golf Club in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Since its inception, the Michigan NARSAD Golf Classic has raised more than $285,000 for mental health research.

"Canvas,” A Film About Living With Schizophrenia Now Released on DVD Thanks to NARSAD's support, "Canvas," opened in Los Angeles on Friday, October 19, 2007 for a limited theatrical release. The film, which explores mental illness through the eyes of a child as he learns to cope with his mother’s schizophrenia and the effect it has on his family, is now available on DVD.

"Pencils Up" Theatre Benefit Naperville, IL Presented by Theatre of Purpose, “Pencils Up” is the story of a young man coming to grips with the fact that he is suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. It is loosely based on the playwright’s experience of growing up with a brother who was diagnosed with schizophrenia. The play was performed at All Saints Academy in Naperville, IL with all proceeds from the weekend run to benefit NARSAD.

Beer, Cheese and Chocolate Tasting Great Falls, VA NARSAD hosted a beer, cheese and chocolate tasting at the Old Brogue Irish Pub. 11th Annual John and Kevin Kennedy Memorial Soccer Tournament West Babylon, NY (Suffolk County) Sponsored by Lindenhurst Sports Club, the proceeds from this popular tournament were donated to NARSAD. July 25, 2007
“Chrissy’s Wish” Memorial Golf Tournament for Mental Health Research Manorville, NY (Suffolk County) The “Chrissy’s Wish” Memorial Golf Tournament for Mental Health Research was held at the Rock Hill Golf and Country Club in Manorville, N.Y. The event honored the life of Christina Rossi, and was to help bring an end to the devastating brain disorders that strike so many of our friends and family members. June 21, 2007
2nd Annual Donald F. Weese Memorial Golf Classic Carmel, NY (Putnam County) The Donald F. Weese Foundation will hold their 2nd Annual Golf Classic at the Centennial Golf Club in Carmel, NY. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to NARSAD. Donald Weese was a caring and charismatic young man who passed away during the summer of 2005 after a hard-fought battle with depression. To honor him and to help others, his friends and family members established the Donald F. Weese Foundation. Dan Molyneux Memorial Roller Hockey Benefit Montvale, NJ ![]() On May 31, 2007 skaters from the New York City area gathered at The Rink in Montvale, New Jersey for a night of hockey as a memorial to Dan Molyneux. The event, which was organized by Dan’s friends and family, was a resounding success, raising more that $1,400 for NARSAD. “Keyboard Classics” Piano Recital New York, NY ![]() Charles E. Gerber, Roxanne Lanquetot & Gayle Martin Henry. Founding members of NARSAD’s National Leadership Council, Roxanne and Guy Lanquetot, hosted a special piano recital to bring together their love for classical music and their passion for promoting NARSAD’s mission. The recital featured Gayle Martin Henry, an internationally acclaimed pianist, who performed works by Robert Schumann, Franz Liszt and Richard Wagner. The highlight of the afternoon was a stirring presentation of the Richard Strauss piece “Enoch Arden,” which is based on a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson and was performed with actor-director Charles E. Gerber. The concert was held at The House of the Redeemer, an exquisite mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side that was built in 1916 for the grand-daughter of Cornelius Vanderbilt.
