Award-Winning “Healthy Minds” Series to Broadcast on Public TV Stations Throughout New York State

(Great Neck, NY - ) — “HEALTHY MINDS,” a 13-part award-winning TV series about the latest research and insights about mental illness, is helping to reduce the stigma associated with psychiatric disease, which often prevents patients and their families from getting needed help.

Produced by public TV station WLIW-21 on Long Island, in conjunction with NARSAD, the series has been airing over WLIW since late 2006. Now even more people will have the opportunity to view “Healthy Minds” as the series begins airing on public television stations throughout New York state.

“Healthy Minds” is scheduled to air Monday nights at 10:00 p.m. and Thursday mornings at 5:30 a.m. on the following stations:

In Syracuse, WCNY-TV will air the programs on Thursday afternoons at 5:30 p.m., repeating them on Mondays at 10 p.m. In the New York City metropolitan area, WLIW-21, will continue to broadcast the programs on Sunday mornings at 7:30 a.m.

All 13 episodes of “Healthy Minds” can also be viewed on NARSAD’s website.

“Healthy Minds” was honored in 2007 with four “Telly Awards.”
