Distinguished Investigator Award

NARSAD's Distinguished Investigator Award Program provides support for experienced investigators (full professor or equivalent) conducting neurobiological research. A one-year award of $100,000 is provided for established scientists pursuing innovative projects in diverse areas of neurobiological research. Areas of particular interest to the Scientific Council's Selection Committee include:
  1. Patient populations with unique or unusual characteristics, and
  2. Central nervous system developments.

» How to Apply
The deadline for the 2010 Distinguished Investigator Awards, first round letters of intent, has passed. Electronic applications for the 2011 Distinguished Investigator Award will be accepted in April, 2010, with a May 15, 2010 deadline.

Requests for further information will be made to selected investigators and declinations will be sent in early August, 2009. Final applications (second round--by invitation only) will be due in September, 2009. A deadline will be included in second-round materials.
