Giuseppe Blasi, M.D.
Young Investigator
Dr. Giuseppe Blasi is employed by the University of Bari in the “Neuroscience” Ph.D. program. He is also staff clinician at the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry at the University of Bari, Italy. He received his M.D. in and his residency in psychiatry, both at the University of Bari in 1993 and 1997, respectively. Between 1998 and 2000 he worked as a staff clinician at the Department of Mental Health, Biella, Italy. Between 2001 and 2002 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry at the University of Bari. Between 2003 and 2004 he was a Visiting Fellow at the Clinical Brain Disorders Branch, Genes, Cognition and Psychosis Program, of the National Institute of Mental Health, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD.
He has been the recipient of the Young Investigator Award from the University of Bari in 2002. He is currently involved in research projects on imaging genomics and schizophrenia using functional MRI techniques.
