Christopher R. Bowie, Ph.D. (Young Investigator 2003) of Long Island Jewish Medical Center, will examine changes in neurocognitive functioning in adolescents who are at risk for schizophrenia after they begin antidepressant or antipsychotic medications used to treat clinical symptoms. Eight weeks after the medication is started, attention, learning, memory, and problem solving skills will be assessed and participants' symptoms will be rated.
