Jean-Francois Cloutier, Ph.D. (Young Investigator 2007) of McGill University, will study a recently identified family of molecules, the Slitrks that may play a critical role in regulating the formation of synaptic connections between brain cells. Defining the molecular mechanisms that regulate these processes is key to understanding how developmental abnormalities in specific brain regions may lead to the onset of complex metal disorders. Program Area: TIC DISORDERS\Tourette's Syndrome |
