Matthew A. Garlinghouse, Ph.D. (Young Investigator 2007) of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center/Dartmouth College, will use fMRI to study brain reward processing in schizotypal personality disorder (SPD). He will evaluate the structural and functional integrity of brain reward circuitry through analysis of the nucleus accumbens and caudate nucleus, and then analyze the activation patterns of the ventral striatum. Dr. Garlinghouse expects results will provide valuable information on the neurobiology of SPD, and quantify the degree to which brain reward circuitry is abnormal in SPD. Program Area: PERSONALITY DISORDERS\Schizotypal Personality Disorder |
