Yijun Liu, Ph.D. (Young Investigator 2001) of University of Florida, will study the organization of brain circuits in patients with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and concurrent depression. A technique called functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) will be used. Two sophisticated dynamic fMRI analysis models will be applied. This study may lead to new insights into the specificity of neural pathways mediating cognitive deficits in OCD patients who have been resistant to medication treatment. Program Area: ANXIETY DISORDERS\Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) |
