Angus W. MacDonald, III, Ph.D. (Young Investigator 2008) of University of Minnesota, seeks to better understand how paranoia is related to the neuropathology of schizophrenia. This study will evaluate the relationship between persecutory symptoms in schizophrenia patients and the structure and function of grey matter in specific brain regions. Results from this study may provide new insights into this link since persecutory ideation and paranoid delusions are some the most common symptoms of schizophrenia.
