Eydie L. Moses-Kolko, M.D. (Young Investigator 2003) of Magee-Womens Hospital, is using PET imaging to better understand postpartum dopamine function. She will image D2 binding in postpartum controls, postpartum depressed and nulliparous controls. This study will allow a greater understanding of postpartum neurobiology and in turn may lead to the development of different treatments for depressive disorders in women.
