Inez Myin-Germeys, Ph.D. (Young Investigator 2006) of Maastricht University, will study the genetics and biological mechanism of stress sensitivity in a sample of first-degree relatives of patients with psychosis. In the proposed project Dr. Myin-Germeys will investigate whether the relatives react with increases in subtle psychotic experiences in reaction to stress. She also will study cortisol reactivity in daily life in reaction to the same small stresses. Further, she will investigate the genes that might be associated with this behavioral and biological reactivity to stress. Program Area: SCHIZOPHRENIA/PSYCHOTIC DISORDERS\Schizophrenia |
