 Project Summary  Barton W. Palmer, Ph.D. (Young Investigator 2001) of University of California, San Diego, seeks to improve the information from a standardized informed consent form for antipsychotic medication in middle-aged and older patients. Participants will be evaluated with several measures designed to assess specific aspects of decision making, psychiatric symptoms, and cognitive functioning. It is expected that patients' knowledge of treatment relevant information will be improved to normal levels by providing multiple presentations and explanations of relevant information.
